Tidal Traveller WOW 2009 finalist (commended)
Rita has taken part in Wearable Arts competitions for the last eight years. Initially she entered the local competitions and when she won firsts, seconds and thirds in those she decided to enter the larger Nelson (now Wellington) one.
For the past three years she (with a friend for the initial two), has entered and been accepted into the competition which now has become a prestigious international event.
Last year's entry was chosen to be part of the WOW Exhibition at the Nelson Museum.
In 2009 she has entered the Pacifica section solo and entry Tidal Traveller was chosen as a finalist winning a commended place.
